SD-WAN Week in Review: RingCentral, Citrix, Martello & More

RingCentral (News - Alert) took the wrapping off a new certified SD-WAN certified partners program, highlighting several entrants. Initial partners include GTT Communications, Windstream Enterprise (News - Alert), VMware, CloudGenix and Riverbed. “RingCentral is committed to enabling businesses to take advantage of the full power of cloud solutions—and our SD-WAN partnerships reflect this strategy,” said Curtis Peterson, Senior Vice President of Cloud Operations at RingCentral. Martello announced the appointment of Erin Crowe to the role of Chief Financial Officer. Just a few short months ago, Martello set sail on SD-WAN seas, and Crowe will seek to build on her successful record to build on Martello’s success via upcoming public listing and acquisitions. Find more HERE.

Citrix’s (News - Alert) new version of NetScaler SD-WAN is designed to increase WAN throughput while accelerating enterprise applications, the company said. With the recent release of NetScaler SD-WAN 10.0, Citrix said it wanted to make sure that its customers can operate their networks at scale. The release introduced the concept of regions to the product, which reportedly will enable customers to subdivide networks into smaller sub-networks that can be organized regionally and be used to group sites of a similar size, function, or network design, up to 550 sites per region.
