SD-WAN is seeing its day in the sun, and as we continue on this software-defined networking path some vendors are separating from the pack. This up-and-coming technology is integral to the cloud era and driving the operations of digital first organizations.

Versa Networks announced the Versa Secure Cloud IP Platform earned a 2018 INTERNET TELEPHONT SD-WAN Product of the Year Award. The SD-WAN solution was singled out for the innovation at play, creating a networking solution with security and cloud integration.

"We're thrilled to be recognized by TMC (News - Alert) as a top SD-WAN product, especially since our technology has gained a lot of traction among enterprises undergoing digital transformation with cloud, IoT, and big data transitions," explained Robert McBride, head of product marketing at Versa Networks. "This continued third-party validation of Versa as a leader in the SD-WAN space recognizes the market need to integrate networking and security in a unified and simplified solution approach, to help secure the WAN-edge and accelerate the migration to multi-cloud topologies for our partner ecosystem and enterprise customers."

SD-WAN is certainly a sexy technology of the day, but one can’t paint it with a broad brush. Versa is the only SD-WAN vendors bringing complete networking and security together with a software-defined WAN edge – all coming with a minimized hardware footprint.

"Congratulations to Versa Networks for receiving a 2018 INTERNET TELEPHONY SD-WAN Product of the Year Award," said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. "Versa's Cloud IP Platform has demonstrated true innovation and is leading the way for Software Defined Wide Area Network. I look forward to continued excellence from the company in 2018 and beyond."

Standing out from the field is a challenge in the increasingly competitive SD-WAN space. And Versa is venturing to deliver service providers and the enterprise an exceptional opportunity.
