Fujitsu Meets MEF Service Standard with SD-WAN-as-a-Service Release
Back in May, the MEF unveiled an SD-WAN Service Attributes and Services Standard, offering the industry a baseline framework for this transformational technology. A major topic of discussion for some time in the space, the MEF (News - Alert) is introducing a new day for vendors.
Fujitsu announced today that its SD-WAN-as-a-Service solution is in compliance with the new NEF 70 SD-WAN service standard. The turnkey solution promises a pocket-friendly pay as you go subscription based model and the provider, and Fujitsu (News - Alert) will be providing a webinar series to educate and drive adoption.
“We designed our SD-WAN-as-a-Service to comply with the MEF 70 standard, which Fujitsu co-developed, leveraging our expertise in designing, deploying and operating software-defined, OTT virtual network services,” said Ralph Santitoro, head of SDN/NFV/SD-WAN Services at Fujitsu Network Communications (News - Alert), Inc. “We anticipate the new MEF SD-WAN service standard will accelerate adoption of this transformational technology by eliminating market confusion and defining a service that can operate over any type of underlay network from any service provider.”
