As SD-WAN takes center stage in the cloud era, glowing market projections are certainly not slowing the hype. An interesting niche developing in the SD-WAN Space is the managed services piece, and this arena is growing at a rapid rate. This week, SMBs were targeted.

NexVortex announced mConnect (Managed Connect), a purpose built SD-WAN aimed at the SMB space. For nexVortex (News - Alert), this is complimentary addition to its already robust portfolio of hosted voice and SIP trunking services.

Wes Rogers, COO & Founder of nexVortex commented: “mConnect and the underlying technology is very exciting, very cool. It addresses a pain point that many small business owners have today and moves nexVortex into a central role in the user’s operations. This will create many future opportunities for our channel partners.”

The new release leverages the nexVortex patent-pending QAV technology to promise an exceptional user experience. By duplicating packets, the SD-WAN solution is able to alleviate the ill effects of packet loss. In addition, mConnect enables SMBs with the power of choice to select which “protected services” are prioritized for importance of performance, with other applications flowing over to the public internet.

“Services delivered over the public internet have, for years, had to deal with quality issues over the last mile. This is where most audio quality problems occur,” said Mario Cuello (News - Alert), CEO of Epygi, an IP-PBX manufacturer. “Epygi’s on-premise IP-PBX, when used in conjunction with nexVortex’s mConnect solution and nexVortex Managed SIP Trunking service, affordably solves this problem for small businesses.”

SMBs have enough challenges to overcome, don’t let cloud connectivity be one of them.

What’s in your WAN?
