America Online, Inc. Launches AOLMobile.com

America Online, Inc. today announced in a press release that it launched AOLMobile.com ( http://www.aolmobile.com ), described as a "personalized mobile portal" that is designed to simplify learning about, buying and using the most recent wireless communications and content services.



According to the release, the site can be customized by mobile users "to present the features and services available for their particular phone model and service provider combination."

AOLMobile.com, which is delivered through a partnership with InPhonic, Inc., also offers a mobile storefront, in which users can shop for latest mobile phones, cellular service plans and features.


"The new AOLMobile.com site is all about personalization and simplification," said Rajive Mathur, vice president of AOLMobile.com, America Online, Inc., in a prepared statement. "We designed it so that our members, registered users and web users alike can easily learn about the phones, services, features and accessories that complement their mobile lifestyles."

According to the news release, AOLMobile.com features, among other things, the following:

• My Mobile Dashboard – Gives mobile users a central place to manage cell phone features and preferences, such as IM Forwarding or Alerts and Reminders. By registering on the site, users can also download wallpapers and ringtones.

• AOL Mobile Top Picks – Ranks the latest and most popular phones, ringtones and services.

• Phone Finder – Designed to make easier the purchase of cell phones by

• Deals – Displays the latest cell phone, service and feature promotions and discounts.

• Account Management – Available later this year, this feature will enable AOL members to check their mobile usage, pay cellular bills, etc.
