Free Whales -- BlueWhale CRM Offers Free Beta

TechWhale Solutions, a vendor of mid-market to enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and services, has announced the release of Version 2.9 of its BlueWhaleCRM software and the BlueWhaleCRM 3.0 BETA program.

Version 2.9 of BlueWhaleCRM, according to company officials, "builds on the toolset that BlueWhaleCRM has already implemented," and "contains enhancements to the scheduling and customer interaction modules of BlueWhaleCRM and also adds additional automated workflow functionality into the system."

Basically, BlueWhaleCRM is offered in three formats: a Standard, a Hosted, and a Developer edition. All three editions have pretty much the same functionality offered by the software, including the ability to customize the application via an extensive administrative console and access to the API.

The Developer edition, as you'd expect, gives you source code needed to customize the application and integrate it with their current applications and architectures. The Standard Edition is being offered at $150 per user and the Hosted Edition is available for just $35 per user per month.

And hey -- the first year of support and upgrades are included with the initial purchase of the BlueWhaleCRM licenses.

And an ASP.NET 2.0 version of BlueWhaleCRM will be released in BETA format at the end of the summer, using the .NET 2.0 framework features, including "enhanced usability and efficiency made possible by the inclusion of AJAX and ATLAS technologies," company officials say.

TechWhale is currently accepting applications for BETA users. There is no cost to join the program, though participation in feedback surveys and forums is requested. For those that participate in the program as requested, TechWhale will be offering a free perpetual use runtime license of BlueWhaleCRM for up to 25 users. To sign up for the BETA program, please visit TechWhale's BETA site at http://www.techwhale.com/Beta.aspx.
