Active Modules Inc., a vendor of modular software development, has announced a new version of their Customer Relationship Management application, Active CRM.
The major updates are in the sales and marketing module, and are largely designed to manage leads more effectively and provide a better transition throughout the sales cycle. The leads section was re-written so that it is easier to use and track potential customers.
The updated leads section features automated communications and has print and export functions. Custom fields were also designed for leads, customers and companies and allow users to manage specific data for their own requirements, and a template library was also added to streamline communication tasks.
Active CRM 1.1 is a browser-based application that allows for easy maintenance, remote access and minimal workstation requirements. Its role-based security provides organizations with varying levels of data security.
Active Modules Inc., headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, is a software development company offering products focused around DotNetNuke and the Microsoft (News - Alert) .NET Framework.
Earlier this month DotNetNuke Corporation, the producers of the open source Web application framework for the Microsoft platform, announced the general release of DotNetNuke 4.5.
Coming hot on the heels of DotNetNuke 4.4, which delivered scalability and performance, DotNetNuke 4.5 provides what company officials call "a wide range of new features designed to refine and enrich the user experience."
"You never get a second chance to make a first impression," said Shaun Walker, DotNetNuke Corporation Co-Founder and CEO observed. "With the explosion of Web 2.0, consumers have much greater expectations for both the performance and feature set of the Web applications they choose to interact with."
Walker said with the integration of Microsoft's ASP.NET AJAX library in DotNetNuke 4.5, the framework is now capable of supporting "a new generation of more efficient, more interactive, highly personalized Web applications."
"Thousands" of organizations use the DotNetNuke Web application framework for delivering their Web, intranet , and extranet, company officials say.
