In what the company's billing a "major new release," CRM developer Adapt Software Applications, has announced ADAPTcrm v5.0, of its ADAPTcrm software, targeted at manufacturers and distributors.

ADAPTcrm software combines collaboration, marketing, sales and extended services management in a single module.

The product features "out of the box" integration to a wide variety of available ERP products, "in effect, adding front-end CRM functionality with real-time synchronization of the CRM database with the customer, vendor, inventory, order entry, accounts receivable and accounts payable files of the supported ERP systems," according to company officials.

ADAPTcrm v5.0 also adds support for Microsoft (News - Alert) SQL Server 2005, features an Executive View that enables managers to display charts of key sales and service statistics for graphical analyses, and offers Service Ticket charts, which provide management with insight into the performance of weekly or monthly services.

Other new additions to ADAPTcrm v5.0 include myriad new campaign tracking capabilities and the ability to customize accounts and contact records for each user through the assignment of user-defined forms.

E-mail enhancements include support for GroupWise and e-mail synchronization from Microsoft Outlook's Sent Items, as well as from subfolders under both Outlook's Inbox and Sent Items.

Marin Toader, ADAPT product manager, says the product's pitched to the midrange CRM market, and for that market "is a feature-rich, simpler, faster and more affordable alternative to traditional, modular CRM suites. It specifically addresses the key failure points of most CRM systems -- ease of use, integration, industry focus and customization."
