Bigdough's CRM Pairs With Pyxis Mobile

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Pyxis Mobile, Inc., a vendor of wireless software that “meets the diverse needs of the financial services industry,” company officials contend, has announced their mPlatform Alliance partnership with Bigdough, a vendor of capital markets contact and ownership data.

This initiative will deploy their integrated client relationship management (CRM) application to their customers anywhere, via their mobile device.

Last month Bigdough added a faintly Orwellian-sounding “integrated surveillance module,” allowing users to “integrate their surveillance data automatically into the Bigdough IR platform.” Company officials explained that one as users linking their trading activity to Bigdough's database of institutional contacts and intuitive CRM software “to manage and benchmark all key IR relationships on one platform.”

With the Pyxis partnership, Bigdough users will be able to view the profiles of their key market contacts, as well as update information in the Bigdough CRM, regardless of the availability of a wireless internet connection: Bigdough can now wirelessly deploy their CRM data and reporting to their users' mobile devices, allowing for an instant handheld extension of their system.

This alliance will provide Bigdough with the tools to give their users real-time information, at any time, from any location. Bigdough, basically, is a tool for anyone working in the equity capital markets who wants to access contact information through handheld devices.

The Bethesda, Maryland-based firm has also recently introduced Bigdough Instant Daytime Dialing, integrating voice messaging and telephone technology with all of the functionality of the Bigdough CRM platform.

This particular initiative means users can set up call lists using the contact information in Bigdough's database, and automatically begin dialing the selected contacts, increasing outbound calls by an average of 40-60%. The call activity can then be immediately logged to a contact's profile and later reported on.

Users can also record and save voicemail messages that can be personalized and dropped in the voicemail of selected recipients.
