``Dan Rather Reports'' to Investigate Irregularities in Touch-Screen Voting Machines

DALLAS --(Business Wire)-- Next Tuesday's episode of DAN RATHER REPORTS devotes an entire hour to an exclusive investigation into what could be serious irregularities with touch-screen voting machines throughout the United States and with the punch cards that were used in the 2000 race in Florida.

After Florida's voting fiasco in 2000, the federal government has spent billions to "fix" the system. In "The Trouble with Touch Screens," DAN RATHER REPORTS examines whether or not the system has indeed been repaired or has the new technology just made the problem worse?

"There's a lot of new information in this program," said Dan Rather, global correspondent for HDNet. "Honest, decent people can and will debate what we're reporting, but no one can watch this program and not know that we've worked long and hard on this story."

"When we brought Dan on board here at HDNet, we wanted him to be fearless and explore some of the more controversial topics that we all face today," said Mark Cuban, president and co-founder of HDNet. "This episode is exactly the type of story that we had in mind when we launched the show in November of last year."

With the upcoming presidential election on the minds of most voters across America, this report promises to expose information that will be essential in making sure the next President of the United States is chosen fairly and accurately.

This report "The Trouble with Touch Screens" airs Tuesday, August 14 on HDNet at 8:00p.m. ET. The program also airs at 11:00 p.m. ET to accommodate west coast prime time.

Discussions:
We have touch screens in banks, at ATM's, in hospital's, restaurants, shopping stores, automobiles. They are every where. We trust with our money. But put them in our election system then all of sudden there is a problem. It's all a conspirancy. Dan Rather is the best on spreading conspirancies.
