Dash911 Solutions of Denver, Colo. is about to launch its E911service for VoIP providers for handling of E911 calls this Wednesday.
"Dash911's architecture offers coverage to any telephone number, and with our SOAP API interface, we can quickly implement a VoIP provider within ten days," said Michael Giagnocavo, Dash911's CTO.
Dash911 is "telephone number provider agnostic," therefore providing E911 services to any USA telephone number, at any USA address. Dash911 will be activating its 24x7 call center for address changes nationwide this month.
"Our relationship with our backbone provider allows us to provide an incredibly rich service, because they are the largest and most experienced company in the emergency calling services field," noted sales engineer Denise Ferrara.
Dash911 made news back in October when it filed a request for extension with the FCC, requesting a 21-day extension for all of its customers. The FCC had required that all VoIP providers deploy an E911 solution for subscribers by November 28, 2005. Dash911 requested an extension for its customers "due to the unprecedented damage caused by hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma which has caused administrative hardships and infrastructure disruptions for many smaller VoIP companies.
Dash911 will be exhibiting at the Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO taking place during the week of January 24-27, 2006 at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
