Degree Controls Strengthens Presence in Asia
MILFORD, N.H. --(Business Wire)-- Degree Controls, Inc. (DegreeC), the global leader of state-of-the-art thermal and airflow technologies for the electronics and telecommunications industries, announced today that it has strengthened its Asian operations by appointing Ven Holalkere to the newly created position of Regional Director, Asia. Mr. Holalkere will be based in Trivandrum, India and report directly to DegreeC's President and CEO, Jag Sisodia.
DegreeC began its operations in Trivandrum, India in 2004 and has seen rapid growth since that time.
Mr. Holalkere will be responsible for managing DegreeC's business development across Asia and driving the marketing effort in Asia for AdaptivCool(TM), DegreeC's state-of-the-art technology for reducing data-center energy consumption.
Prior to joining DegreeC, Mr. Holalkere spent seven years at Intel, specializing in the thermal management of microprocessors and servers. With 26 years of global engineering and managerial experience overall, Mr. Holalkere has earned eight U.S. patents and has written extensively on the thermal management of various electronic systems - from individual chips to the entire data center.

Mr. Holalkere has undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.
