Dallas-based DFW Broadband LLC announced on Wednesday that the company has started selling WiMax-based wireless broadband services to small- and medium-sized Texas businesses in Garland, Richardson, and Eastern Dallas.

The initial services offer Internet access at 3 to 6 megabits per second for $99.95 per month.

"We have been highly pleased with the performance of our 5.8GHZ network for the last 90 days, and have developed a very reliable mesh architecture that will give our subscribers a fast, dependable service for a good price,” Mike Girou, DFW Broadband president and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “We will continue to expand our product and geographical offerings over the next few months."
