FARSTONE DISK IMAGING RECOVERY TECHNOLOGY FEATURED IN LATEST VERSION OF AUTHENTIUMS ENTERPRISE SECURITY PLATFORM

FarStones Patented RestoreIT® Technology Available to Authentiums ISPs and Enterprise Business Customers

IRVINE, Calif. and PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., May 2, 2007 FarStone Technology and Authentium today announced the availability of RestoreIT for ESP Enterprise. Based on an existing licensing agreement and integrated engineering efforts, this unique solution provides RestoreITs personal disaster recovery to every desktop in the enterprise without the need to individually install the software on each client machine.

For the first time, a network administrator can provide peace of mind and the security of a comprehensive desktop backup and recovery tool to every employee in a few simple clicks. For most organizations, the most critical company data resides on the hard-drive of each employee, not on a central server. Losing this data to a glitch, faulty program, or corrupted hard drive can cost hundreds of hours in productivity and millions of dollars in lost information. In addition, shared computers in places like libraries, classrooms, or labs can be bogged-down or rendered useless by the actions of careless users, forcing constant re-installations or replacements.
We are pleased to be a part of Authentiums solution to provide a solid delivery platform to both the consumer and business markets; both markets have a real need for instant recovery with minimal IT involvement, says Tom Fedro, FarStones executive vice president. When provided via their Internet Service Provider, consumers need the ability to quickly recover their troubled system without having to spend time or money to solicit outside technical support. When deployed to business end-users, RestoreIT for ESP provides instant recovery so they can continue to be productive with minimal downtime.
FarStones RestoreIT is deployed to every end-point PC in an organization using Authentiums ESP Enterprise platform, preserving critical data or refreshing shared systems to a pristine state at the end of each day. The Authentium ESP Enterprise solution enables enterprises to procure, manage and deploy multi-vendor, end-point software through a single, integrated management framework. Security applications including antivirus, anti-spyware, firewall, URL filtering, anti-phishing and pop-up filtering, along with other utilities from a diverse library of leading developers can be acquired and managed for the entire enterprise from the comfort of the IT administrators desk. Authentium technology protects over 18 million e-mail accounts and more than 9 million corporate, education and ISP end points.
We are committed to providing an integrated, best-of-breed approach to desktop security, said Corey ODonnell, Vice President of Marketing for Authentium. FarStones recovery software broadens ESP protection to allow users to recover from otherwise fatal consequences of external threats, software malfunctions and user-induced errors. RestoreIT for ESP is a great addition to the ESP platform.
RestoreIT for ESP stores a complete image backup on a hidden, protected partition of the hard drive and/or on a removable CD or DVD, then regularly updates the image using snapshot backups of any changes. FarStones RestoreIT end point data backup and the restore end point service for ESP utilizes the ESP Extensible Framework to provide network administrators with rapid configuration and deployment capabilities, remote scanning and enterprise-class threat and policy compliance reporting options.
RestoreIT for ESP is also available to ISPs as a value-added offering to their end subscribers. By offering RestoreIT to their subscriber base, service providers gain a revenue producing, value-added service offering that also measurably reduces technical support expenses. Service providers are able to differentiate themselves with additional premium services, giving them a competitive advantage and increased customer loyalty.
