Former Computerworld Editor and Author Paul Gillin to Lead Executive Panel at NETSEA Event

BURLINGTON, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- NETSEA, the New England Technology Sales, Marketing and Business Development Association, today announced its quarterly educational and networking event for technology executives, which will take place on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Burlington Marriott in Burlington, Mass. From search engines to data sources and social networking sites, more and more information is residing outside the CRM system and outside the firewall. How do we know what services are right for what kind of sales? In his presentation, "Beyond CRM: Technologies that Sales People Are Using," Paul Gillin will answer this question and address the various applications and services that can make sales people more effective and discuss how to deal with the volume of information that is available.

This NETSEA event will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Burlington, Mass., on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Participation for registered NETSEA members is $0; $25 at the door. About Keynote Speaker Paul Gillin

Paul Gillin has chronicled the information technology revolution since the dawn of the PC era. He joined Computerworld as a staff writer in 1982, moving up to Executive Editor in 1987 where he helped guide the publication's agenda beyond the mainframe world and into the broader realm of corporate computing. In 1999, he joined a venture-funded startup called SearchHiTech.com. The company, which was soon renamed TechTarget, became the fastest-growing media company in the IT market, achieving profitability in 2002 and $48 million in annual revenue two years later. He served as publisher for divisions encompassing nine TechTarget websites and two conferences.

Gillin is the author of the new book, "The New Influencers: A Marketer's Guide to the New Social Media." He will be available for a book signing following the keynote. In addition to writing hundreds of articles, Gillin has appeared on radio and TV programs around the world and has been interviewed hundreds of times by reporters seeking perspective and clarity on technology issues.

More recently, he's taken up blogging and podcasting in an effort to continue to learn about the cutting edge of technology innovation.
