InfoTelis Selects ActiveEdge Unified Messaging Platform

Hosted IP telephony provider InfoTelis announced that it selected Iperia's ActivEdge system to enhance its existing messaging features. The combined offering will allow service providers to provide subscribers with IP services including Web-based voicemail, voicemail to e-mail, fax to e-mail messaging, and conferencing.
Cleveland, Ohio-based InfoTelis hosts high-speed IP telephony for its network of telecom enterprises and service providers comprised of IXCs, CLECs, UNE-Ps, long distance resellers, and broadband providers. Its offerings include unlimited local and long distance phone services and additional enhanced services such as traditional voicemail, Web-based voicemail and unified messaging, as well as hosted PBX and auto attendant services for businesses.
"We chose Iperia's ActivEdge solution because of its tight integration with Sylantro (platform for IP PBX and broadband voice services), which allows us to provide our customers with a unified portal for voice and messaging," said Pete Sandrev, president of InfoTelis Resellers. "Additionally, Iperia offers the support we need in this new technology environment for which response time is paramount. Iperia recognizes that urgency and delivers high availability and speedy response to technical questions." Looking forward, the ActivEdge solution arms InfoTelis with a more robust server for conferencing and fax messaging capabilities, as these requirements arise.
InfoTelis had introduced its broadband IP hosted telephony services for businesses in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area back in January.
Iperia made news on Monday when it announced it partnered with STS Telecom to make a suite of unified communications applications available for residential and business subscribers. STS, a provider of hosted VoIP and traditional telephone services, also chose Iperia's ActivEdge system to enhance its portfolio of IP-based services. ActivEdge will be integrated on the Sylantro platform, which provides STS with an advanced IP Centrex and hosted communications services for business, residential, wireless and other applications.
