LHS Reports Benchmark Results for Its Billing Solution
TMCnet Contributing Editor
LHS recently carried out performance testing on HP Integrity Superdome servers for its billing solution, BSCS iX. The solution successfully scaled to support tier-one service providers with more than 40 million subscribers on a single instance of HP Integrity Superdome.
The performance test was carried out in a production-like environment with sophisticated tariff models, promotional offers for residential customers, and hierarchical business accounts.
BSCS iX generated more than 1 million invoices per hour, demonstrating that it is capable of invoicing 40 million subscribers in one working week.
New features of BSCS iX—such as best option planning—were included in the testing. Individual modules—from collection of events, to rating, billing and accounting—were also benchmarked, and demonstrated unprecedented performance both in batch and real-time modes.
“BSCS iX on the HP Integrity Superdome platform is a high-performance solution for communication service providers, ready to support future volume increases,” said Dr. Jens Troetscher, Chief Technology Officer at LHS in a press release.
“The results of this benchmark demonstrate that the powerful combination of LHS’ BSCS iX running on HP Integrity Superdome servers offer customers a tier-one, carrier-grade solution,” added Don Jenkins, Vice President of Marketing, Business Critical Servers, HP.
