MSI Announces Nexus for CRM

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Marketing Solutions Inc., a vendor of Web-enabled Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systems, has announced a new CRM product Nexus.

Nexus "will provide businesses in any industry an opportunity to build, retain, and attract customers," company officials say, but it's designed for small to mid-sized businesses as an affordable CRM product.

Nexus officials differentiate it from other Web-based CRM systems by saying it's "the only system that captures real-time orders, customer history, customer and prospect information, sales commission, sales forecasting and one-to-one marketing functionality," and offers up-sell and cross-sell capabilities framed in a full 360-degree view of customer data as well. That's what they say.

Every function and process of Nexus includes marketing, sales, customer service, fulfillment, order management, and finance, and company officials are pitching the product as giving users the ability to rank open quotes, sales orders, and/or open invoices:

"An adjustable chart reflecting various stages within the sales cycle is displayed on a sales pipeline report to help ensure opportunities are being maximized," they say.

This past summer directors of Premier Bank of Tallahassee, Florida report "connected with a network of more than 150 community financial institutions" after adopting the Connections CRM system offered by Marketing Solutions.

Premier Bank has seven branches with assets totaling $352 million, and picked the Connections software, including the Profitability and "What If" Pricing modules, after determining the systems comprehensive set of solutions best aligned with and supported its slightly grammatically-challenged mission statement:

"...to create a pleasant banking and working environment while achieving outstanding financial performance. Our bankers seek to be distinguished by their servant's hearts and sincere desire to treat others as they wish to be treated."

Premier Bank also "values prompt delivery, modern technology and expediency while ensuring its integrity as a small community bank offering local decisions," according to bank officials, who seek to assure customers that some faceless bean counter in New York isn't going to decide to foreclose on their and sixteen other mortgages to correct a rounding error before lunch. MSI has been working with Premier to integrate the product.

In June Marketing Solutions announced a partnership with Digital Defense, a vendor of network security compliance and risk management services, letting Marketing Solutions offer Digital Defense's security compliance and risk management services to its financial institution customers.
