Springdoo Launches Free Video E-mail Service

TMCnet Associate Editor

Way back in February, yours truly reported on Springdoo’s free talking e-mail service, which allows anyone with a computer and microphone to record and send phone messages using e-mail.

Yesterday, Springdoo announced a similar, free service—this time for video.

“Anyone can visit the Springdoo website and record a video email using a web camera,” the company said in a press release.

“Springdoo aims to show people how easily they can evolve beyond email and texting, to a fresh, personal and ‘human’ way to engage with one another,” the company’s CEO, Jason Kerr, said in a statement to the press.

Kerr added: “The way we connect in the future needs to bring back the key communication elements of emotion and substance; elements that are lacking in our current choices.”

According to the press release, Springdoo is “actively pursuing opportunities with global marketing and media companies and continues to develop exciting product extensions.”
