Starbucks Hear Music Catalog Added to iTunes

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Starbucks announced this week, through an agreement with Apple, the availability of its Starbucks Hear Music catalog on the iTunes Store.

Hear Music offers a range of albums showcasing new and classic artists. Those albums include the Artist’s Choice and Opus Collections series. Hear Music is being made available on a special section of iTunes Store titled “Starbucks Entertainment.”

“We’re excited to work with iTunes to add a significant new digital experience to the innovative buying experience we’ve been offering in Starbucks locations for more than 10 years," said Ken Lombard, president of Starbucks Entertainment. “Many of our customers want to listen to our music on their iPods, and now that will be easier than ever.”

The Starbucks Entertainment area of iTunes will be populated with a variety of playlists compiled by the Starbucks Hear Music team. Featured music includes the Marvin Gaye Opus Collection and Sonya Kitchell’s Came Back to Me. Customers will have the option of buying entire playlists, or individual tracks.
