Thailand Mobile Operator Taps Verso

Thailand’s second largest mobile operator, DTAC, has selected Verso Technologies, Inc.’s bandwidth optimization solution to connect DTAC call centers in Bangkok and the Northern Province of ChiangMai.

Verso said its NetPerformer-based solution, distributed by Comnet, provides DTAC with efficient bandwidth utilization and voice quality “that makes the remote call center connection undetectable to users.”

The deal represents the second recent Thailand-based customer win.  Last week, Verso announced that its NetPerformer solution will be used to provide air traffic control-related communication between two Thailand airports and the Aerothai headquarters located in Bangkok.

“Overall, NetPerformer is becoming increasingly attractive to global and regional operators and reduce operational expenses,” Verso CEO Monty Bannerman said in a prepared statement.

What steps do large-scale enterprises need to take to deploy VoIP that are different from small- to medium-sized businesses? This fall’s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & Expo, which runs October 24-27, at the Los Angeles Convention Center is the only show that features workshops especially tailored to large enterprise or government deployments.
