Small and multi-location businesses stand to benefit from the latest announcement from TalkSwitch, a designer and manufacturer of telephone systems for that sector. TalkSwitch software 3.22 has now become generally available ensuring the interoperability between TalkSwitch 48-CVA telephone systems and the Voice over IP calling plans offered by BroadVoice.
Release 3.22 is available as a free download from the TalkSwitch website and enhances the existing TalkSwitch solution by providing high-quality VoIP operation in not only TalkSwitch to TalkSwitch networks, but also in TalkSwitch to Service Provider networks. The remote system configuration over IP increases manageability for businesses with multiple locations.
TalkSwitch offers hybrid PBX telephone systems that integrate traditional telephone lines in addition to VoIP connections. TalkSwitch is promising that combining that system with a VoIP business calling plan from BroadVoice can reduce customer costs in relation to traditional telephone carriers and allow for greater control and flexibility over the way calls are handled in their offices.
TalkSwitch is banking on its reputation for delivering high-quality, affordable telecommunication products to small and multi-location businesses, according to Jan Schreeren, president and CEO of TalkSwitch. BroadVoice offers plans that appeal to small business and together, the two companies offer a combination of powerful telephony features, user-friendly installation/configuration and cost effective VoIP-based calling.
Gene Cornfield, vice president of business development for BroadVoice, sees the partnership with TalkSwitch as a benefit for BroadVoice. For small business customers seeking a complete telecommunications solution that will include PBX features and affordable calling plans, they now have a great option, according to Cornfield.
The appeal of BroadVoice is that they are able to deliver multiple virtual lines over a single broadband connection enabling companies to assign a distinct phone number to each employee. Incoming callers can bypass receptionists and Auto Attendants by directly dialing an individual using Direct Inward Dialing on the TalkSwitch for the first time.
TalkSwitch was established in 1990 and is ideal for businesses with up to 32 telephone users per office. The systems provided by the company allow for connection over both the traditional telephone network and the VoIP networks. The company is headquartered in Ottawa, Canada.
BroadVoice provides broadband phone services to consumers and businesses. Founded in December 2003, BroadVoice is a privately held company based in Billerica, Massachusetts. The services offered by BroadVoice are available globally and is currently used in more than 120 countries.
For anyone who has been through the joy of dealing with Auto Attendant, the option of dialing someone direct is like music to the ears. How frustrating it is to call a company and spend ten minutes weeding through all of the menus to find the right option only to get to the wrong person and have to start all over again. The offering from TalkSwitch and BroadVoice will have significant value in smaller cities where the ‘big-city’ feel just hasn’t caught on and customers want to deal with live people, not recordings. Taking advantage of such technology is a smart move for any small or multi-location business not only in cost effectiveness but in the ability to deliver better and more personal customer service.
