Triton Technologies Brings Broadband VoIP to its Customers

TMCnet Associate Editor

Michigan-based Triton Technologies has joined the throng of small to mid-sized ISPs seeking to deliver VoIP to their broadband customers with the launch of its new, TritonVoice service, which is now available nationwide.

“The phone service of the future is here, today,” said Dennis Gramza, Triton’s VP of sales and marketing, in a
news release. “The lower cost, plus the multitude of features should be attractive to everybody. This new technology allows anyone with a broadband Internet connection to save a lot of money by dropping their traditional ‘land line’ phone service. I like the fact there are no irritating taxes and fees on our phone service. Far too many times people have switched phone companies for what appeared to be a lower price, only to discover all those hidden charges when the first bill comes in. The price you see with us is the price you get.”

Triton Voice requires a cable, DSL, or T-1 Internet connection. Users can also keep their current phone number and phone equipment.

Gramza said the service is “not just about price.”

“Many new, useful features are abundant in this new technology,” he said. “Traditional features such as caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding and voicemail as well as a host of advanced features such as distinctive ring, call filters, anonymous call block, and virtual numbers are included.”

In addition, users can activate features such as “blocked callers” through a personal web interface. The service allows customers’ phone activity to take on an “email look” with the “detailed call history and personal phonebook.”

TritonVoice residential plans start at $16.95 per month for 500 minutes anywhere in Continental U.S. - including all phone features.

Business plans come with a free fax line and start at $39.95 for 1,500 minutes anywhere in Continental U.S.
