Vonage Drops International Charges for Calls to Several European Countries

Vonage America announced today that it no longer will charge international calling rates for calls placed to land lines in France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. The change applies to all current and future Premium Unlimited Plan ($24.99 per month) and Small Business Unlimited Plan ($49.99 per month) subscribers.


 
“Starting today you can now call your family, friends and business associates residing in Paris, Rome, Dublin, Madrid or London at no additional cost,” said Michael Tribolet, president of Vonage (News - Alert) America Inc., in a press release.


 
Both plans mentioned offer unlimited calling to the countries listed, as well as the 50 United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The Small Business Unlimited Plan also includes a dedicated fax line.
 
All Vonage plans continue to provide the following features at no additional cost:
  • Voicemail
  • Caller ID
  • Call waiting
  • Call forwarding
  • Call hunt
  • Call transfer
  • Call return (*69)
  • Caller ID block (*67)
  • Repeat dialing
  • Area code selection
  • Number mobility
  • Bandwidth saver
  • Web-based account management
  • Voicemail retrieval and real-time inbound/outbound calling activity
  • Low international per minute calling rates outside the list (Tel Aviv 5 cents/minute,
    Hong Kong 4 cents/minute, Sydney 5 cents/minute)
