Vonage VoIPs Corpus Christi, Texas

VoIP-based calling service provider Vonage Holdings Corp. announced on Friday that it will now serve the city of Corpus Christi, Texas. The news follows the provider's announcement about making available service in Flagstaff, Prescott, Wickenburg and Yuma in the state of Arizona.
The move will enable high-speed Internet subscribers working and residing in the largest city on the Texas coast to receive unlimited local and long distance calling and popular features like call waiting, call forwarding and voicemail. Vonage customers living near Kinney's Ranch can now keep their current numbers or choose telephone numbers within the popular (361) area code.
"In a city founded as a frontier trading post, Vonage offers Corpus Christi residents and small businesses a low cost alternative to their traditional phone service," said Michael Tribolet, president of Vonage America. "Vonage is filling a need in the market for affordable phone service, offering flat rate calling plans that include the same features as traditional phone carriers and many more that are unique to Vonage such as area code selection and number mobility without a Texas-sized phone bill."
When VISA cardholders visit the online shopping portal and select Vonage from the 'merchant' scroll down menu, they can register for Vonage and choose to pay for their phone service using their VISA card, they will receive one month of free local and long distance phone service from Vonage (valued from $19.99 to 69.99), free shipping (valued at $19.99), and free activation (valued at $39.99). With this promotion VISA cardholders will save as much as $129.97. This promotion will run until May 31, 2006.
