Tom Ridge to Keynote INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2006

First Secretary of U.S. Homeland Security to Address Thousands at VoIP Conference in Fort Lauderdale Convention Center

NORWALK, CT (November 30, 2005) -- Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC®) announces today that Tom Ridge, The First Secretary of U.S. Homeland Security, has accepted an invitation to deliver a keynote address at its INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2006, January 24-27, 2006 at the Fort Lauderdale–Broward County Convention Center.

Mr. Ridge’s address, which is open to all registered attendees, will take place Thursday, January 26th at 10:15am EST. Registration for the conference is now open at http://www.itexpo.com.

INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, held since 1999, is the world’s largest and best-attended VoIP trade show. Last October, TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO in Los Angeles attracted over 7,000 buyers and sellers of IP Telephony products and services. For this upcoming January show, TMC projects total attendance to exceed 8,500.

Mr. Ridge, sworn in on January 24, 2003, as the first Secretary of the newly formed Department of Homeland Security, will discuss security and telecom’s role.

“In his leadership role at the department of homeland security, Mr. Ridge was charged with not only helping protect our nation from terrorist attacks, but also from ensuring that recovery from any disaster – terrorist, weather, etc. – was swift. Telecom plays a large role in disaster recovery, providing communications infrastructure critical to recovery efforts. I am looking forward to hearing Mr. Ridge’s unique perspective on telecom’s role in security,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC president and conference chairman for INTERNET TELEPHONY.

Prior to being Secretary of Homeland Security, Mr. Ridge served as the first Office of Homeland Security Advisor in the history of the United States of America. He was sworn into that office on October 8, 2001. In the words of President George W. Bush, he had the strength, experience, personal commitment and authority to accomplish this critical mission.

The President established the Office of Homeland Security and the Homeland Security Council, following the tragic events of September 11. His charge to the nation's new director of homeland defense was to develop and coordinate a comprehensive national strategy to strengthen protections against terrorist threats or attacks in the United States.

Ridge was twice elected Governor of Pennsylvania, serving from 1995 to 2001. He kept his promise to make Pennsylvania "a leader among states and a competitor among nations." Governor Ridge's aggressive technology strategy helped fuel the state's advances in the priority areas of economic development, education, health and the environment.

Then Governor Ridge cut taxes every year he was in office. To ensure Pennsylvania was home to the jobs of the future, the Governor created industry-led Greenhouse initiatives in advanced computing technologies and the life sciences.

He signed into law the Education Empowerment Act, to help more than a quarter-million children in Pennsylvania's lowest-performing schools. His education technology initiatives brought anytime, anywhere learning to Pennsylvanians from pre-school to adult education.

Mr. Ridge earned a scholarship to Harvard, graduating with honors in 1967. After his first year at The Dickinson School of Law, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served as an infantry staff sergeant in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star for Valor.

In addition to Mr. Ridge’s appearance, INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2006 features keynotes by CNBC anchor Ron Insana, and executives from IBM, Cisco, AT&T, Aculab, General Motors, Digium, Avaya, Covad, Quintum, Nortel, Level 3, NetCentrex, Interactive Intelligence, Time Warner Telecom, AudioCodes, Expedient Systems and Pingtel.

Registration for the conference and trade show is now open: http://www.itexpo.com. Vendors interested in exhibiting or sponsoring should contact Dave Rodriguez immediately at 1-203-852-6800, ext. 146 or e-mail drodriguez@tmcnet.com.

Press inquiries regarding Tom Ridge’s address can be directed to Mostafa Razzak at 23-31 Communications: (646) 442-3361 or email m.razzak@23-31.com.
