Products and services announced recently:

Voxeo Corporation has announced its VoipCenter 6.0 SIP platform, delivering standards-based Voice over IP application creation, integration and deployment capabilities to any enterprise or service provider.

Unlike VoIP application platforms that combine open SIP telephony with proprietary application development interfaces, the VoipCenter SIP platform enables rapid, open SIP application delivery via the Call Control XML and VoiceXML standards.

Jonathan Taylor, President and CEO of Voxeo says to date Voxeo's CCXML and VoiceXML engines have been used by more than 14,000 companies.

AuPix has announced the availability of a Session Initiation Protocol compliant version of its IP video phone, the AP-100.

"This latest addition to our portfolio enables the AP-100 to be integrated into a company's IP telephony system. It will replace the telephone handset on executives' desks" said Graham Brown, AuPix managing director, "enabling not only audio calls but video calls as well."

SIP has been adopted by the VoIP community as its protocol of choice. SIP builds on the convergence of data, voice and video onto a single network, by providing a standards based approach enabling IP communications with numerous devices and applications.

Honeywell has announced the release of the new GG1178 MEMS Rotational Rate Sensor; an angular rate sensor that enables low-cost Inertial Measurement Units for advanced GPS assisted navigation systems. These new MEMS rotational rate sensors are small, high performance devices designed to significantly reduce errors from acceleration and off-axis rotations.

Applications include: GPS-aided navigation, automotive stability control, medical orthotic, down hole energy steering, agricultural equipment, and camcorder stabilization.

ARC International plc has announced a set of 104 new 128-bit wide customized instructions that take advantage of parallelism inherent in multimedia applications. Based on a technique known as Single Instruction Multiple Data, these instructions reduce power consumption by increasing application performance without raising the processor clock speed.

ARC's new SIMD instructions are fully compatible with the ARCompact 16- and 32-bit instruction set architecture and will be incorporated into an upcoming Multimedia subsystem and other products from ARC International.

ARC International also announced today that its new SIMD extensions won "Product of the Year Award" at the Global Signal Processing conference.

iMesh, a peer-to-peer service working with the recording industry to transition its offering to an authorized environment, has announced the launch of its public beta, iMesh 6.0. The company is a globally active P2P launching an authorized service that incorporates many of the coveted consumer benefits common to the P2P file sharing experience while assuring compensation to registered rightsholders.
