Venali, Inc. announced today the launch of their Branded Internet Fax Service which, according to company officials, makes it "easy" for VoIP and telecom providers to offer fax services to their clients "while increasing their recurring revenues and profits."
The company announced that VoIP provider Kancharla will be the first branding partner to profit from the new service.
VoIP providers don't play well with traditional fax machines, which do not work well or at all on VoIP networks leaving traditional telecom company clients to grapple with the high costs and administrative hassles of fax servers. Pasquale Giordano, CEO of Venali, Inc. said the company's Branded Internet Fax Service eliminates this "barrier to adoption of VoIP services."
Kancharla's Director of Operations Kevin Breault said they would offer the service to direct customers "as well as to our carrier partners" for their customers to use. Breault said he thinks Venali's product would "reduce customer costs and administrative headaches."
VoIP-enabled fax isn't exactly a crowded field. Prominent among those who do offer products is Canadian firm Interstar, which sells the XMediusFAX Service Provider Edition T.38 fax server software for service providers and large enterprises.
Interstar's boardless, XMediusFAX Service Provider fax server software for VoIP networks received a 2005 Product of the Year Award from TMC. It's showcasing right now at the Internet Telephony Conference & Exhibition (Booth # 419) at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center.
The Interstar product lets service providers "increase cash flow by purchasing their own FoIP software, instead of re-branding 3rd party fax services," according to company officials.
Venali's Branded Internet Fax Service is available to any business. Partners can provide basic desktop fax (e-mail-to-fax & fax-to-e-mail) services to their clientele or full integration with business applications and web sites via Venali's Web Services APIs. Direct integration with Microsoft Office and Windows, Notes, SAP, Great Plains, and numerous other software applications are available via existing plug-ins.
