ICQ Co-founder Joins JAJAHBy CINDY WAXER
TMCnet Contributing Editor Just days after launching its new web-activated telephony service, VoIP provider JAJAH has announced adding Yair Goldfinger, the former CTO of ICQ, to its board of directors. “JAJAH developed a groundbreaking new service and has huge potential for further exciting developments,” said Goldfinger in a statement.
Goldfinger’s position with JAJAH allows him to contribute to upcoming new JAJAH services. “The new JAJAH will benefit greatly from Yair Goldfinger’s profound knowledge of cross-barrier web communication channels,” said Roman Scharf, co-founder of JAJAH. Goldfinger lays claim to a long and impressive track record in the technology industry. His first major creation was the aiding in the development of instant messaging service ICQ. After AOL bought ICQ, Goldfinger became CTO and co-founder of Dotomi, an online direct marketing solution.
Hoping to give rival Skype a run for its money, JAJAH offers free VoIP communication, including Internet calls, video calls, instant call recording, live chat, text messages, call forwarding and telephone conferences.
