Aicent Provides MMS Interconnections between Asia Pacific & Europe
Aicent Inc., provider of mobile data network services and solutions for global mobile operators, announced today, it will enable--for the first time-- the world’s largest number of routes for Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) exchanges between Asia Pacific and Europe.
Aicent’s MMS Gateway Service, which has been achieving record breaking capabilities for mobile operators since 2003, includes features such as Text-to-Image and MMS Virtual Delivery that enhance the user experience.
According to a recent release, Aicent’s new service will provide operators with “one-stop interconnections to more than 30 Asia pacific operators and another 30 plus European operators for two-way commercial MMS exchange.”
Since the number of people wanting to include MMS as a part of their service offerings is growing, so does the need for international interconnectivity to support these type of exchanges.
Lynn Liu, Aicent President and CEO comments, “Aicent’s Interoperable MMS footprint is helping global mobile operators increase user satisfaction and further stimulate MMS industry uptake.”
Aicnet also announced today that they have entered an Infrastructure Service and MMS Hub Peering Agreement with telecom service provider, Royal KPN N.V.
The Infrastructure Services Agreement will allow Aicnet to use KPN Euroings, (a Pan-American fiber optic network) to expand their network reach in Europe.
The MMS Hub Peering Agreement will allow the two companies—through local POP connections-- to exchange their Hub coverage with one another furthering their GRX, SMS and MMS capabilities across Europe, Asia Pacific and America.
KPN has also separately entered a reseller agreement to offer Aicent GRX services in hopes of creating an affordable and innovative GRX connection.
Lynn Liu, President and CEO Aicent further commented, “These new KPN agreements are a milestone in our roadmap to extend the reach of our GRX and MMS service capabilities throughout Europe.”
