On-site technical support provider 1-800-GeeksOnTime announced on Tuesday that it selected CommPartners, an IP-based network operator, as its provider of wholesale VoIP and IP applications services for its business clients.
`
The new deal calls for 1-800-GeeksOnTime to deliver a QoS-based managed voice system to its new and current portfolio of business clients and introduce an all-in-one managed system combining dedicated help desk, centralized digital voice and video IP-based communications, IT managed network services and centralized online backup. 1-800-GeeksOnTime will integrate its nationwide footprint of technicians, service management architecture and network administration control center to provide VoIP pre-deployment testing, perform site surveys and installations and conduct 24/7 LAN-specific VoIP traffic monitoring.
"1-800-GeeksOnTime's decision to partner with CommPartners will enable them to utilize our network infrastructure and feature-rich suite of applications to bring its clientele a dramatic improvement in their business communications," said David Clark, CEO and co-founder of CommPartners. "With the point of demarcation between the service provider's network and the customer's network moving from a wiring closet to the desktop, 1-800-GeeksOnTime's IT expertise and nationwide footprint in combination with our robust IP network and business VoIP offering, will ensure the successful deployment of VoIP and IP services available today and tomorrow."
Currently, 1-800-GeeksOnTime provides managed on-site technical support to customers in the CommPartners service delivery chain, including Allegiant Air, an airline utilizing hosted contact center and hosted IP PBX services provided by CommPartners. 1-800-GeeksOnTime also utilizes within its own client services operation the hosted contact center application available through the CommPartners IP Network and VoIP applications suite.
"Our award-winning customer service, central help desk monitoring and onsite technical expertise working in combination with the expansive capabilities of the CommPartners IP network will enable our company to launch our business clients into new heights of innovation. We believe there is a revolution happening with VoIP and we're proud to be able to offer this exceptional package to our clients with a level of support that we frankly believe no one else can match," said Venus McNabb, 1-800-GeeksOnTime founder and CEO.
"We are very pleased with our progress in becoming one of the only telecommunications services providers and network operators of any type earned CLEC status in every state in the Union," said David Clark, CEO and co-founder of CommPartners in a statement.
CommPartners CLEC licenses have enabled the company to complete Interconnection Agreements (ICAs) with incumbent local exchange carriers including Verizon, SBC/AT&T (News - Alert), Qwest (News - Alert) , Bell South, and Sprint (News - Alert) among others. The company has ICAs with incumbent local carriers approved by state regulatory authorities in 27 states with regulatory approval pending in 18 states.
