Cape Clear Develops SOA Platform for Irish Transmission System Operator

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Cape Clear Software has recently been selected by Ireland's Transmission System Operator (TSO) as the supplier of enabling technology for developing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform. Enterprise Service Bus from Cape Clear will enable the company to rapidly develop agile systems to assist the work of the TSO.

ESB National Grid presently carries out the Transmission System Operator function in Ireland which will eventually be carried out by a separate state-owned company, EirGrid plc. EirGrid was established by the Irish government to assist in the liberalization of Ireland's electricity industry and to develop a competitive market.

“Cape Clear provides a fast and cost-effective path forward to SOA because it is built from the ground up around open standards to support architecture best-practices,” said Annrai O'Toole, CEO, Cape Clear Software in the press release.

“It is also the only Enterprise Service Bus to provide all of the core SOA-enabling capabilities within a single, unified platform.”

Cape Clear's True ESB software is based on open standards, works with the existing infrastructure, and enables business users to flexibly align their business processes with their infrastructure.
