TMCnet Contributing Editor
Sigma Systems, a provider of service management, provisioning and OSS systems that deliver services on IP broadband and wireless networks, announced on Thursday that it joined Level 3 Communications' ( News - Alert) 3VoIP Technology Alliance Program (TAP).
Sigma joined the program to provide a telephony service management system, including local exchange carrier (CLEC) inter-carrier, electronic bonding gateway (e-bonding) integration.
The 3VoIP TAP program helps customers avoid potential technology problems involved with a VoIP deployment. Sigma and Level 3 will develop an e-bonding system to automate the telephony provisioning and activation processes for service providers.
"Sigma's solutions provide the 'intelligence behind converged service delivery', providing turnkey solutions for voice, digital and data services," said Sigma's vice president of marketing Preston Gilmer in a statement. "With proven deployments to companies such as Cable One, this relationship with Level 3 helps our customers roll-out more comprehensive VoIP services in a timely and cost-effective manner."
