infoUSA Powers Integrated Direct Marketing

TMCnet Contributing Editor

infoUSA announced this week plans to license its business databases to Integrated Direct Marketing (IDM), a direct marketing and analytics provider based in Reston, VA.

IDM will be using infoUSA’s database of 13.5 million businesses to power its proprietary data products.

The agreement between the two companies is expected to improve customer segmentation and increase the effectiveness of their campaigns.

“infoUSA is a key piece to IDM’s strategy of developing proprietary data products to help multi-channel marketers acquire, retain and grow customers," said Chad Slater, President and CEO, IDM, in a press release.

infoUSA reportedly makes more than 20 million phone calls each year to verify and enhance its business information. Information matching and cleansing is performed monthly using data from Unite States Postal Service’s National Change of Address, ZIP+4 and Delivery Sequence File databases.
