M5 Networks Considered One of 500 Fastest Growing Companies

TMCnet Contributing Editor

M5 Networks has been named one of the country’s fastest-growing private companies. According to Inc. magazine’s 25th annual Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country, M5 Networks ranked No. 272, with three-year growth of 481.2 percent.

Dan Hoffman, President and CEO of M5 Networks, noted that it is an honor to be counted by Inc. magazine among the most innovate and dynamic privately-help companies in the US. Being named to the Inc. 500 list marks an important milestone in the growth of M5 and further validates its cutting-edge business model and market leadership position.

Hoffman added that the ranking reflects M5 employees’ hard work and dedication to distinguishing M5 from other telecommunications service providers by demonstrating and delivering the highest level of trustworthiness and service quality to its clients. As a result, M5 is well-poised to continue growing steadily as the company scales up to meet the important phone system needs of small businesses throughout the country.

M5 is able to credit its rapid growth to focusing on addressing the true need of its clients – a robust and reliable phone system that requires no management. The flexibility and power of VoIP technology allows M5 to eliminate the on-site phone system altogether, allowing fast growing small businesses to take advantage of the same technology as their large competitors.

M5 clients save both time and money by turning to an outsourced or hosted VoIP system that reduces operational costs and management headaches, enabling them to focus on their core business.

Inc. Editor Jane Berentson contributed that if you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500 as these are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation. The same ones that are coming up with solutions to some of the enterprise’s most intractable ills, creating systems that let them conduct business faster and easier.

As one of the telecommunications industry’s 27 companies to make the list this year, M5 is one of the few who survived what one CEO calls telecom’s “nuclear winter,” which lasted from 2000 to 2003.

To produce its Inc. 500 list, Inc. magazine measures revenue growth from 2002 through 2005. Companies have to be US-based, privately held independent as of December 31, 2005 and have at least $600,000 in net sales in the base year in order to qualify.

M5’s rapid growth and selection by Inc. magazine indicate that its focus and core strategies are responding to increasing demand for small business to be able to operate on the same scale as their larger competitors. Technology is critical in leveling the playing field in virtually every industry and M5 is contributing to that end. The company’s recognition by the Inc. 500 list should help drive further growth and revenues, further establishing M5 as a powerful player.
