Comstor Germany to Distribute Plantronics Headsets

Comstor Germany announced today a new distribution agreement with headset manufacturer Plantronics. The new deal will allow Comstor Germany to carry the complete suite of Plantronics (News - Alert) wireless headsets for its customers.

“Plantronics’ products are a tremendous complement to Cisco voice solutions. This agreement presents a unique opportunity for our customers to expand a typical voice offering with a proven, top-performing product,” said Comstor Germany’s managing director Joachim Braune in a statement.

As part of this partnership, Comstor Germany also equipped its own sales staff with Plantronics equipment, including the cordless DECT (News - Alert) headset system CS60.

“Working with Comstor was a natural choice for us, since the company provides an excellent path to accessing potential in the Cisco voice market, especially through its OneVoice Programme. This agreement will provide Comstor resellers with an opportunity to increase revenues by building solutions that include our proven headset technology,” stated Gunter Hofmann, general manager DACH, Plantronics Germany.

Included in the suite, Comstor will distribute the newly released Plantronics CS70 Wireless Office Headset System for executives, the SupraPlus Wireless Headset System for phone-intensive users, and the Plantronics Voyager 510SL Bluetooth Headset System with WindSmart for mobile professionals.

The Plantronics CS70 enables users to talk while being up to 300 feet away from the phone base. The device features a discrete form factor and it weighs 0.75 oz. The headset is built on digitally encrypted, voice-dedicated DECT 6.0 technology to provide better audio quality and lower interference with other wireless devices. The device has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US $399.95.

The Plantronics Voyager 510SL Bluetooth Headset System with WindSmart seems to be a good option for users that are constantly juggling cell phone and office phone calls at the office. The device provides a single wireless headset to seamlessly switch between office phones and Bluetooth mobile phones. The Voyager 510 is a Bluetooth headset that includes both a noise-canceling microphone and wind-reduction technology for better sound in windy environments. The headset features a multipoint technology for switching between multiple devices. The feature automatically detects which device a person is using, allowing them to take calls from either device with the touch of a button. The Voyager 510SL Bluetooth Headset System has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US $379.95 and is also currently available through Plantronics’ authorized resellers.
