Teligent Using Performance Technologies Advanced Managed Platform for its P90/E Service Creation Platform
TMCnet Associate Editor
Teligent, a global supplier of value added services to telecommunications carriers, has reportedly selected Performance Technologies’ Advanced Managed Platform for its P90/E service creation platform.
According to a news release, Teligent will incorporate Performance Technologies’ ZT5091 fully managed 4U platform and CPC5505 Intel Pentium-based single board computer – both of which are PICMG 2.16 compatible and part of the Advanced Managed Platform offering – into the Teligent 90/E platform.
Based on a non-proprietary, open-standards hardware architecture, the 90/E platform uses software resources to combine cost-efficiency with flexibility, resource availability, high-fault tolerance and scalability. Teligent claims the solution enables faster time-to-market and better management of capital expenditures.
The 90/E platform supports VoIP and media protocols, and is compatible with developments in 3G Open Services Architectures and Parlay.
