Verizon Online New Broadband Toolbar Targets Small-business Customers

As part of Verizon ( News - Alert) Online’s initiative to improve its Verizon Business Center, a free Verizon Broadband Toolbar has been launched to serve the growing needs of small-business broadband customers.
In a news release, Verizon ISP portal and platform services executive director Bill Heilig said, “There weren't many toolbars for business-minded people, so we developed one especially for our small-business customers. Once it’s downloaded to business owners’ desktops, relevant resources are just a click away.”
Powered by Google ( News - Alert), the new broadband toolbar enables easy access to Google web search, Verizon email services, Verizon Business Center portal resources, and extensive online business links related to entrepreneurship. This can be downloaded at http://business.verizon.net/toolbar.
Key benefits of this new Verizon Broadband Toolbar are as follows:
- Easy-to-use toolbar with drop-down menus. Subscribers can easily access business-related news including Wall Street Journal articles, stock market analysis, company profile, and even weather information to help in daily business operations.
- Quick and direct access to online business tools like e-learning courses from Verizon Business Center. Websites of SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business”, local business directory and maps.
- Instant access to Verizon’s email service and links to Verizon’s special promos.
- Equipped with pop up blocker.
- Compatible with Microsoft (News - Alert) and version 5.0 or higher of Internet Explorer. It can either replace existing toolbar or use together with other internet toolbars.
Verizon remains consistent and committed in serving the emerging requirements of small businesses. Aside from broadband internet access, several business solutions like e-mail encryption, online backup storage, and communications management tools are also offered.
