Rim Semiconductor Partners with Three Asian Equipment Manufacturers to Test and Evaluate its New Processor

Rim Semiconductor, an emerging developer of transmission technology products, has formed a partnership with three additional Asian equipment manufacturers by signing a memoranda of understanding to support the testing and evaluation of the company’s Cupria 5001 transport processor.



The three unidentified equipment manufacturers are located in Taiwan, Singapore and China with combined revenue of more than US$3 billion. These companies provide digital subscriber lines to telecommunication companies worldwide.

Rim Semiconductor and the three equipment manufacturers have agreed to complete the testing of the Cupria 5001. They have also agreed to keep the identities of the three manufacturing companies under wraps until they decide otherwise, or if the Security and Exchange Commission demands the manufacturer’s information from Rim Semiconductor.

Rim Semiconductor has previously partnered with at least two equipment makers to test its processors and signed separate supply agreements. These partnerships aim to enhance Rim Semiconductor’s products to deliver performance advantages in the worldwide market. Brad Ketch, president and chief executive office of Rim Semiconductor, said in a press release, “We are very pleased to see that major equipment manufacturers are eager to evaluate our new products.”

Rim Semiconductor recently partnered with Axellence and signed a marketing deal. Axellence is a manufacturer’s representative firm that offers consultation and support services to communications companies in marketing multimedia industries in Europe.

Rim Semiconductor Company is a developer of telecommunication technologies designed for companies offering cost-effective data and video services through copper telecommunications infrastructure. It also produces films, motion pictures and videos. In 2006, Rim Semiconductor has acquired the assets of 1021 technologies, including 16 patents for digital subscriber line (DSL) and related hardware and software. Rim Semiconductor’s products offer the highest quality of service and allow quick data transmission across extended distances through the use of copper wire.
