INNOCOM Technology Holdings, a Hong Kong-based mobile communication technology company, is acquiring BODA Electronics Co. Ltd., a component distributor with expertise in chip design.

This acquisition is expected to bring INNOCOM’s competitiveness in the telecom industry to a new level.

Mr. William Hui, Chairman and CEO of INNOCOM said, “BODA is a leading logistic and distribution company in the China mobile phone industry with unaudited sales of $41 million in 2006. The estimated total cost of the acquisition is approximately $6.8 million, which we plan to finance through internal resources and/or bank borrowings.”

INNOCOM Technology Holdings is one of the largest independent designers of mobile handsets. The company offers complete mobile design services that include industrial and mechanical design, component selection and sourcing, hardware and software design, prototype testing, production support, and pilot production.

Among the customers of INNOCOM are TCL, Cosun Communications, CECT, Zhejiang Holley Communications Group Co., Ltd. and Panda Communication. These companies are considered China’s leading mobile handset brand owners.

INNOCOM holdings include Beijing Unismobile Communication Technology Co., a provider of customized mobile handset to licensed mobile manufacturers. That company adopts third party licensors in designing mobile handset. This is a cost-effective way in streamlining the development and marketing process of handsets. Licensed manufacturers are outsourcing new mobile designs to independent design houses and sell the products under the company’s brand name to generate revenues.

BODA Electronic Co. Ltd. is a provider of application solutions to component sourcing and delivery of finished product to customers in China. The company has entered partnership with Aurora Systems Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of LCD display controllers in San Jose, California. This partnership allowed BODA electronics to offer HDTV services to its target market using its logistic capabilities.
