Talley Communications Now Distributing BridgeWave Wireless Links
 TMCnet Contributing Editor
Talley Communications ( News - Alert) Corp., a distributor of wireless communications infrastructure products, is all set to supply BridgeWave's family of 60GHz and 80GHz wireless links to address ever-increasing demands for high-capacity, secure point-to-point wireless links.
Because of its experience as a wireless infrastructure distributor, Telley is uniquely qualified to increase adoption of BridgeWave's outdoor, full-rate Gigabit Ethernet wireless products across a broad range of applications and vertical markets.
BridgeWave's products will help Talley expand its core strengths in providing high-capacity backhaul solutions for municipal, government, public safety and service provider networks, while helping BridgeWave increase its customer reach.
“Talley brings a set of strong relationships with network operators and system integrators that complements and expands our market footprint,” said Gregg Levin, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of BridgeWave, in a statement. “We are thrilled to work with Talley to accelerate our business in these strategic market segments.”
BridgeWave's 60GHz and 80GHz E-Band links offer 10 times the bandwidth of comparably priced 100Mbps Ethernet wireless links. According to Mark Talley, president of Talley Communications, BridgeWave's products broaden the distributor's extensive portfolio of wireless broadband solutions by delivering gigabit performance with both licensed and unlicensed links.
“BridgeWave has established itself as the gigabit wireless market leader by offering gigabit speed products at affordable price points,” he said. “We are excited to add these reliable, simple-to-deploy products to our roster of best-of-class wireless communications solutions.”
BridgeWave's high-speed links also deliver superior interference immunity and enhanced data security resulting from extremely narrow antenna beam widths Additionally, BridgeWave's exclusive AdaptRate feature momentarily switches the link from GigE to 100Mbps transmission to provide continuous operation, even during intense downpours.
With what it claims is the largest installed base of GigE radios worldwide, BridgeWave last month introduced a new family of high-speed, gigabit wireless links that feature the best range and link availability in the industry.
The new Gigabit Ethernet 80GHz Extended Range (GE80X) and AdaptRate 80GHz Extended Range (AR80X) bridges deliver up to "five nines" (99.999 percent) availability over multi-mile distances. BridgeWave also recently introduced the industry's first 100 Mbps link that is field upgradeable to full GigE data rates.
