WorldGate Signs Distributors in Italy, the Caribbean

WorldGate Communications ( News - Alert) has completed distribution agreements in Italy with B.F. Automation and in the Caribbean with People's Telecom Jamaica LTD.
Additionally, Ojo Shadow personal video phone has received a 2006 Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation's (TMC ( News - Alert)) Communications Solutions.
Based in Verona, Italy, B.F. Automation provides a range of automation and communications products for businesses. Ojo will address many needs for existing and prospective customers of the company.
People's Telecom Jamaica LTD offers an affordable communications solution for the people of the Caribbean and has expanded its reach gaining significant market share in the Caribbean region as well as in several locations in North America. The company expects Ojo to immediately impact the way Caribbean nationals communicate.
“We see Ojo as an important product to differentiate ourselves from the rest of the communications services offered in the Caribbean,” said Michael Dawson, CEO, People's Telecom in a statement to the press.
He continued: “Ojo stands out as a unique way to offer our customers the best experience using the latest technology. We are very excited by the strong demand we are already seeing and this will certainly increase after we formally launch this summer.”
According to Hal Krisbergh, CEO, WorldGate Communications, the opportunities in Italy and the Caribbean are further evidence of the growing adoption of video telephony as the new standard for communication in the digital world and specifically of Ojo's desirability in the marketplace.
Krisbergh is also honored that the Ojo Shadow personal video phone received the 2006 Product of the Year Award from Communications Solutions.
