Avalara Forms Strategic Partnership with Intacct, Joins Intacct-Ready Partner Program

Avalara, a provider of sales, use and value added tax (VAT) tax automation solutions for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), has announced a strategic partnership with Intacct.

 

Intacct is a provider of on-demand financial management and accounting applications. This latest partnership allows Avalara to join Intacct's new Intacct-Ready partner program.

 

Under the new Intacct-Ready program, Intacct plans to partner with software as a service (SaaS (News - Alert)) companies, like Avalara, to develop and certify integration between their applications and technologies and company’s on-demand financial management applications.

 

Though direct sales force and Intacct's network of channel partners, the program facilitate the reselling of Avalara's sales tax management solutions.

 

Through its AvaTax service, Avalara offers a Web-based tax compliance service. Operating as a module within the Intacct financial system, AvaTax provides businesses with an integrated and automated Sales Tax Management System.

 

The Sales Tax Management System includes functionality to protect against audits, obsolete data and changing tax laws. AvaTax is integrated with Intacct's financial application.

 

Under the strategic partnership, Intacct and Avalara have worked together to develop and maintain integration between Intacct's on-demand financial applications and Avalara's sales tax management solutions.

 

Both the companies believe that this integration will significantly expand the list of leading companies using both Avalara and Intacct solutions.

 

“Combined with Intacct's financial applications, our services leverage efficiencies and offer a cost-effective and adaptive sales tax management solution for businesses of every size all over the world,” said Scott McFarlane, chief executive officer at Avalara, in a statement.

 

He also said that together, Avalara and Intacct bring the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model to sales tax management and are leading businesses into transactional tax nirvana.

 

“Businesses are flocking to companies like Avalara who offer practical, affordable, and highly effective SaaS solutions,” said Daniel Druker, senior vice president of marketing and business development at Intacct. “In fact, our clients and partners liked Avalara so much that we decided to resell it. “

 

Druker also said that both Intacct and Avalara empowers businesses by offerings services that allow them to run their whole company 100 percent on-demand in a new world where the vendors, and not their clients, are responsible for establishing and maintaining integration.
