Teletouch's Hawk Electronics Launches Program to Support U.S. Troops

Hawk Electronics, a division of U.S. cellular services provider and consumer electronics retailer Teletouch Communications ( News - Alert), has launched an affinity marketing and charitable donation program named, dubbed “What If 10%”.
The program will support the Fort Worth Air Power Foundation and its sponsoring entity, the Fort Worth Air Power Council, a civilian military support organization.
Fort Worth Airpower Foundation launched “What If 10%” on Saturday, at Sky Ball VI, its annual fundraising event. The mission of this program is to raise money to support and help solve financial difficulties facing the families of deployed and injured troops.
Hawk Electronics customers participating in the “What If 10%” program can designate that 10 percent of their purchases’ net proceeds be donated to the Fort Worth Air Power Foundation. The program includes all consumer electronics and monthly Hawk-billed cellular services.
Through this recurring monthly support program, Hawk will enable its customers to help U.S. troops stationed locally at the NAS Fort Worth, Joint Reserve Base (JRB) at Carswell, and in San Antonio, Texas at Brooke Army Medical Center.
Teletouch provides a comprehensive suite of telecommunications products and services including cellular, two-way radio, GPS-telemetry, wireless messaging and public safety/emergency response vehicle products and services.
Progressive Concepts, Inc. (PCI) is a subsidiary of Teletouch that provides AT&T ( News - Alert) Mobility services (voice, data, entertainment), as well as other mobile, portable and personal electronics products and services.
Under the “ Hawk Electronics” brand, PCI operates a chain of retail stores and sells the products through Hawk-branded sub-agents, its own direct sales force and through the Internet. Also, the company operates a national wholesale distribution business, known as PCI Wholesale, which serves smaller cellular and automotive retailers, car dealers and rural cellular carriers.
