CRM from QAD Picked Up by Digirad

TMCnet Contributing Editor

US medical imaging products manufacturer Digirad has gone live with QAD customer relationship management (CRM) alongside its existing QAD Enterprise Applications, according to Digirad officials.

Donna Vogt, director of customer service for Digirad, says the company needed CRM to sustain its "growth ambitions," and that it chose QAD and system integrator Strategic Information Group (News - Alert) for "their combination of functionality and service."

Strategic and QAD "helped us identify CRM's full potential and how we could apply it to our business needs," she says, adding that QAD CRM "maximizes communication between sales and customer service. Cross functionality has streamlined processes and helps us respond to customers faster. Now when a customer calls, we can quickly assess their equipment service history and respond to their immediate needs."

Recently QAD and HDI, a membership association for IT service and support professionals and the premier certification body for the industry, announced that QAD Support Centers in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Mexico and Hong Kong have received HDI Support Center Certification.

These and QAD’s other HDI-certified sites in the United States, Australia and Spain have been recognized as providing support resulting in high customer and employee satisfaction.

The qualification of four more QAD support centers follows QAD’s May 2004 milestone as the first company ever to achieve global certification from HDI.

Also recently QAD picked selected Aprimo Marketing 5.5 to help manage its direct and Web-based marketing campaigns around the world.

QAD, which also produces ERP and supply chain software for global manufacturers, agreed to deploy three Aprimo Marketing 5.5 modules-Direct Marketer, Lead Manager and Web Response Manager-throughout its global marketing department.

Aprimo's enterprise marketing management (EMM) software was slated to be integrated with QAD's sales force automation platform to help facilitate qualified lead distribution.

Direct Marketer will enhance QAD's audience segmentation efforts, enabling its marketing team to develop campaigns.
