Sage SalesLogix Hits Down Under

TMCnet Contributing Editor

CRM industry observer Vera Alves said that Sage Business Solutions is now offering its SalesLogix v7.5 Customer Relationship Management solution in New Zealand and Australia.

“Personalized welcome pages, enhanced lead-management and list creation capabilities are some of the new features of the product,” Alves said, noting that “in addition, integration with Web 2.0 technologies such as Google (News - Alert) Maps and LinkedIn has been added.”

Mike Lorge, Managing Director of Sage Business Solutions ANZ, said Sage SalesLogix “can mash-up contextual information from the Web, such as LinkedIn profiles and Google Maps geographical information.”

The game plan for Sage must be “expand SalesLogix to countries where they know how to play rugby,” as a couple weeks ago TMC reported that Sage CRM Solutions, part of the Sage Group plc, announced the new Sage SalesLogix v7.5 CRM suite in South Africa.

Alves reports Lorge saying “we collected an incredible amount of product feedback this year, and the most important themes we heard were the ability for users to work anywhere on a variety of devices.”

The company has also announced the availability of ACT! by Sage 2009 (11.0), the latest version of its customer and contact management solution, Alves says, adding that “the new features include improved integration with Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook, improved calendar and activity visibility and greater database search capabilities.”

A Web wizard is included to simplify lead import, allows de-duplication upon import and enable rule-based lead routing: Users can "log interactions and activities with leads before converting them to contacts, and perform actions en masse such as adding notes to groups of contacts," company officials said.

In July South Africa's Professional Provident Society Investments implemented Softline Enterprise's CRM product SalesLogix, using iSquared to implement the product.

Ashley Ellington, Managing Director, Softline Enterprise, says SalesLogix's customization and configuration capability allow it to be "easily tailored to meet the needs of a business more rapidly than any other CRM product."
