Surrey Salvage, Sales Selects Sage Service, Support Suite

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Sage Software has announced the deployment of its new Sage Accpac Extended Enterprise Suite at Surrey-based metal recycler Amix Salvage & Sales. The suite consists of Sage Accpac ERP version 5.5 with integrated SageCRM to support sales, marketing, and customer service management.

With 3 locations and 175 employees, Amix is one of the largest metal recyclers in British Columbia, running recycling centers, commercial scrap yards, and mobile collection operations. More than 40,000 automobiles pass through Amix’s processing yards every year, on their way to be stripped, crushed, and shipped to metal-hungry markets in the Far East.

The Sage suite provides the benefits of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM), company officials say.

In September TMCnet reported Sage announced that the latest versions of its Sage Accpac ERP and Sage MAS ERP enterprise resource planning and accounting systems won top rankings in The CPA Technology Advisor's annual Review of Mid-Range Accounting Systems.

Reviewer Mary Girsch-Bock awarded 5-Star overall ratings for Sage Accpac 200 ERP 5.5 and Sage MAS 90 and 200 ERP 4.3. Both products are components of the company's new Extended Enterprise Suites launched earlier this year.

"These performances demonstrate how our products continue to address the needs of our business customers," said Himanshu Palsule, Sage Software (News - Alert) executive vice president and general manager, Strategic Products, Business Management Division.

For more than a decade Amix has used Sage Accpac ERP, recently deciding to use the Sage Accpac Extended Enterprise Suite for internal business and external customer management. “We’re just starting to make use of SageCRM,” said an Amix official, adding “we already see how it will boost our marketing capabilities, help us analyze customer demographics, and give us a complete view of our customer interactions,” as well as integrate with Sage FAS Fixed Assets.

Sage Accpac ERP 5.5 anchors one of the company’s new Sage Extended Enterprise Suites. The suite can be installed on premises and accessed over the Web or from local or wide area networks. It is also available hosted online at www.sageaccpaconline.com.
