Omni has teamed with Novell (News - Alert) Platinum Partner to introduce a transparent, two-way, server-side integration for SageCRM.com and Novell GroupWise 8.

The Omni Riva Integration Server is designed for the enterprise-level market with specialized server-side integration for Novell GroupWise and key line-of-business applications, according to Teruel Carrasco, director of Global Sales and Channel Strategy for Omni.

"Despite these tough economic times, companies continue to invest in strategic line-of-business integration and revenue-enhancement solutions that drive growth, deliver better customer service, and improve workforce productivity. Riva Integration Server satisfies these CxO-level priorities."

Carrasco claims are supported by at least one industry research firm that is predicting growth in the customer relationship management (CRM) market despite global economic difficulties.

As TMCnet previously reported, worldwide CRM software revenue is expected to surpass $8.9 billion in 2008, a 14.2 percent increase from preliminary 2007 revenue estimates of $7.8 billion, according to research group Gartner (News - Alert) Inc.

The CRM market is "poised for healthy growth through 2012," when revenue is forecast to reach $13.3 billion, Gartner says in "Customer Relationship Management Software, Worldwide 2007-2012."

This bodes well for companies like Omni, says Carrasco.

"With the new addition of our Riva integration for SageCRM.com, Omni and its global partner network are poised to enhance their share of this growing CRM market. Riva integrations are also available for Microsoft SharePoint, the fastest-growing product in Microsoft's history, Salesforce.com (News - Alert), SugarCRM, Microsoft Dynamics, GoldMine CRM and info@hand CRM. An ACT! by Sage integration is also planned."

According to Robert Diaz, CEO of RDA Enterprises, a full-service network integrator that provides resources to design, implement and support IT needs, the company has built a successful Novell GroupWise and CRM practice but in the past have been somewhat limited with its offerings.

“We were only able to offer our Novell customers GroupWise client plug-ins, similar to those available for Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook, or labor-intensive, customized integrations,” said Diaz. “Riva Integration Server delivers an enterprise-level, out-of-the-box integration that we can quickly deploy to provide transparent, two-way synchronization of GroupWise and SageCRM.com address book information, appointments, opportunities, tasks, leads and notes."

The product is now expected to provide customers single, unified view of CRM data in GroupWise.

Riva's SmartConvert is designed to allow end-users to automatically create a CRM opportunity or support case from a GroupWise e-mail or to assign an e-mail to an existing CRM account, opportunity or case, said Diaz.
