D2 Technologies to Demo its VoIP Platform Offerings at COMPUTEX

Santa Barbara-based provider of embedded IP communications software platforms D2 Technologies has announced that it is going to make on- and off-floor demonstrations of its wide array of VoIP platform offerings for OEMs/ODMs at the COMPUTEX 30 Taipei tradeshow being held June 1-5, 2010 at the Taipei (Taiwan) International Convention Center.


 
D2's vPort Gateway (News - Alert) embedded VoIP software allows manufacturers to use their IC platforms of choice to quickly deliver advanced Integrated Access Devices (IADs), residential gateways and other CPE with optimized, carrier-grade VoIP functionality over wireline, WiFi and WiMAX (News - Alert) connections.

 
"COMPUTEX provides an ideal venue for us to highlight D2's remarkable market penetration and breadth of VoIP platforms and applications for manufacturers," said Doug Makishima (News - Alert), chief operating officer at D2 Technologies. "The broad support we enjoy across the chip and ODM ecosystem is key to enabling our manufacturing customers to minimize risk and accelerate time-to-market for their best-in-class VoIP devices."
 
D2 will be making the demonstrations with various vendors including Cavium Networks (News - Alert), Fujitsu, Marvell, Ralink Technology, Sequans Communications and Ubicom. The details of the demonstrations are the following:
 
- vPort-GW live VoIP triple-play demo on the Cavium ECONA CN3420 platform.
- vPort-GW live VoIP over WiMAX demo on the Ralink (News - Alert) RT3052 + Fujitsu WiMAX dongle platform.
- vPort-GW live VoIP demo on the Marvell 88F6281 platform
- vPort-GW live VoIP demo on Ralink RT3052 platform at the Ralink demo suite
- vPort-GW VoIP over WiMAX reference design, showing vPort running on the Ralink RT3052 SoC with a Sequans SQN1210 WiMAX modem
 - vPort-GW live VoIP demo on the Ubicom IP7K platform
 
In another article, TMCnet reported that D2 Technologies, has launched the next generation of its vPort product line, enabling original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and service providers to cost effectively deliver mobile and customer premises equipment communications products.
