vzaar recently announced the opening of its first North American office in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The company, which has been experiencing a surge in growth, currently serves more than 1700 customers across more than 70 countries.

In a release, Jim Henry, vzaar's VP of Sales, who is based at the new US office, said that, "An online video strategy is a must-have for every brand and every company, large or small. The market for professional video hosting is expanding exponentially based on the surge in demand for online video for sales, marketing, and communications by businesses. According to data from CISCO, video is set to grow from 30 percent of Internet traffic to 90 percent of Internet traffic by 2013. Research from Forrester (News - Alert) indicates that videos can help increase traffic to websites featuring embedded videos as opposed to webpages with regular text. Videos also manage to get a 41 percent higher click rate than plain text, says AimClear, leading search marketing blog.

ContentWise and Custom Content Council while researching US companies found that 54 percent of respondents were keen on producing more online video in 2012.
